Dad left us to go on to join his family and friends after a short battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn, his wife Eileen, 5 daughters: Sheila (Jack Taves) Tegart; Nancy (Rick) Johnson; Kathy (Tom) Swift; Denise (Bruce) White; Gina (Reg) Goertzen; 2 step-sons Kim (Leslie) and Justin (Cynthia); 2 step-daughters Jaunita (Geno) and Sophie (Russell); 16 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother Happy (Sharon) Tegart and 2 sisters Allene Anderson and Marion (John) Raugh, as well as numerous extended family members. Bill was predeceased by his 4 brothers, Art, Allan, Alfred and Ray and his first wife, Marjorie. A time of visitation and viewing was held from 8-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 6 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo.

A Memorial Service was held at the Nanaimo Curling Club on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. Wheelchair accessible. Donations in Bill’s honour, to a sport group or club of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
