Saturday, April 9th

All Day: Super Hero Sun Fest at Panorama Mountain. Its the last weekend of another incredible winter season at Panorama. Events include the Slush Showdown ($10 per person with prizes for Crowd Favourite, Best Blunder, Best Costume etc.). Dual Slalom competition, snow bar and beer garden at the base all weekend, Kryp-Tonite after party at the T-Bar & Grill ($5 cover).

10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Slow Food Fair, downtown Invermere.

5:30 – 8 p.m.: Art from the Heart Show official opening night and artists reception at Pynelogs.

6 p.m.: Annual Spaghetti Dinner at the Brisco Community Hall supporting the Brisco Riding Club. Tickets $10/person or $25/family. Everyone welcome!

7 p.m.: Join the SYC in a Foosball Tournament.

7:30 p.m.: The 33rd annual Big Band Dance is being held at the Invermere Community Hall. Dancing begins at 8 with a buffet served at 10:15. Tickets $25 available at Lambert Kipp Pharmacy, Majestic U-Brew, from any senior band student or by calling 250 342 9213 ext 4503.

Sunday, April 10th

All Day: Super Hero Sun Fest at Panorama Mountain. Last weekend of the season. Events include the Dummy Downhill ($10 per dummy; create your own dummy and send it down the hill to test its invincibility). Dual Slalom competition and the Salute to the Ski Patrol. Plus snow bar and beer garden at the base all weekend.

Monday, April 11th

9 a.m.: Wings Over the Rockies Festival Registration begins. For full details go to www.wingsovertherockies.org.

11:45 a.m.: The Rotary Club of Invermere meets every Wednesday at the Curling Rink.

6 – 8:30 p.m.: Pynelogs Cultural Centre hosts the Columbia Valley Volunteer Appreciation Event. Open to all community volunteers. Come and enjoy the live music of Smalltown Revival and appetizers from Edibles Cafe while you celebrate with other community volunteers.
