Thanks to The Pioneer for the touching photo essay of Remembrance Day ceremonies in Invermere and Canal Flats. It is the small communities across Canada that are the backbone of our nation both in times of war and peace.

When visiting Invermere, and sitting at the cenotaph on a busy summer day, Ill think of the beautiful gathering of your citizens from the Columbia Valley on a cool November day to remember the heroes from your communities.
