Akisqnuk First Nations Lakeshore Resort and Campground will be the location for the Columbia Valleys National Aboriginal Day Festival

on Saturday, June 18th.

The Akisqnuk First Nation is working with the neighbouring Shuswap Band to organize the event, which will start with a pancake breakfast (by donation) served from 9 a.m. followed by a Grand Entry of Chiefs and Elders with dancers of all ages and drummers at 11 a.m. There will also be food vendors on site, as well as craft vendors in Lakeshores teepee circle, craft activities (mini teepee making) and a Bouncy Castle for the youngsters. A magic show by Jeremy Coyote at 1 p.m. will be followed by the closing ceremony at 2pm.
