The 6th annual Tour of the Arts coincides with the first-ever Invermere MusicFest on Sunday, August 4th. Both events are organized and orchestrated by the Columbia Valley Arts Council.

With the tour running from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the music festival from 4 to 10 p.m., you have the opportunity for a full stretch of arts and culture.

For almost four decades, Columbia Valley Arts, or CVArts, as a regional arts and cultural society, has fostered and will continue to promote and encourage a variety of arts and music in the valley.

The annual Tour of the Arts and Invermere MusicFest are two of the many events provided by CVArts throughout the year, alongside other festivals and concerts, film screenings and artist workshops, as well as over 15 art exhibitions at the Pynelogs Art Gallery. Visit the website for more information, www.columbiavalleyarts.com, or call Pynelogs at 250-342 -4423.

While the Tour and the Invermere MusicFest do pair rather well together, they are priced and ticketed separately.

Tour Passports cost $20 and Invermere MusicFest tickets $40 (with an early bird discount of $35 until

the 25th).

Both festival tickets and tour passports can be purchased at the Invermere Farmers Market, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Alternatively, you can find festival tickets at The Book Bar, Syndicate Boardshop, Pynelogs and Arrowhead Brewery. Passports are on sale at Meet at Higher Ground Coffee House, in Radium; La Galeria II, in Fairmont; Essentials Department Store, Pynelogs and Village Arts, in Invermere.
