Letter to the editor

I really struggle to find the words to respond to the editorial (Use privacy stalls, please) in the February 22 edition of the Pioneer.

Frankly, I think I was in shock that such insidiousness would be published. As a community we should be very concerned when bigotry is disguised as “reasonable” discourse about modesty and decency and that those thoughts are provided a platform. 

Do better.

To the woman in Vernon who was forced to discuss her personal health information as public fodder  – you are brave and beautiful. Our world is better because of humans like you and I’m so profoundly sorry.
