Snowfall warning in effect for:

East Kootenay – north including Invermere

East Kootenay – south including Cranbrook

Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

An upper level disturbance is spreading snow to the Kootenay region. Ten centimetres of snow has fallen over parts of the East Kootenay region last night. An additional 5 to 10 centimetres is possible through the today. The snow will ease this evening as the disturbance weakens.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
