The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the Horsethief Creek fire has grown to more than 1,000 hectares on Mount Bruce.
The fire is mapped at 1,020 hectares, up from 966 earlier this week, and it is still classified as out of control.
An incident management team has been deployed on site, where 68 personnel are actioning the fire that was caused by lightning, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
There are currently four helicopters being utilized in addition to 12 pieces of heavy equipment working on guards.
Although there has been no report of threatened structures, a structure protection team has been established.
There has been no change in previous evacuation orders and alerts, which remain in place.
