Kootenay National Park is reporting a small fire on the mountain above Sinclair Canyon.
“A helicopter will be bucketing water on this fire. This work will be visible from the Village of Radium Hot Springs,” Park management says.
It further reports there is no threat to public safety or infrastructure at this time.
The Park encourages people to report any wildfires, illegal campfires or suspicious smoke to Parks Canada Emergency Dispatch at 403-762-4506.
