The Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club was in action at the Canada Cup Western Canadian Championships in Kimberley from Friday, Jan. 31 to Sunday, Feb. 2.
The club had 20 nordic skiers take part in the event, and they brought home three medals: two for Isla Courtliff, and one for Kiara Kuhn (both are U10 (under 10 girls).
The event is Canada’s second largest nordic race of the year (alongside the Eastern Canadian Championships), behind only the upcoming Nordiq Ski Canada nationals.
This year the club will send two skiers to the nationals —local teens Virginia Denchuk and Anika Rievaj.
