Police and fire crews have been dealing with a motor vehicle accident that has closed Highway 93 since 7 a.m. this morning.
Invermere Fire Rescue reported that it had responded to an accident between a semi truck and a passenger vehicle at Kootenay Crossing warden station, 42 km north of Radium Hot Springs.
Mutual aid with BC Ambulance and Radium firefighters was also established.
The highway may be closed for several hours.
An alternate route has been set up on Highway 1 and Highway 95 through Golden.
