Columbia Valley Pioneer staff
A new wildfire east of Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park has been mapped at eight hectares, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
Little is known about the fire or how it started. It is approximately one kilometre north of White River.
The Columbia Valley Rural Fire & Rescue Services reported the fire was discovered on Saturday and was not threatening any structures. Crews from BCWS are monitoring the blaze. No further information is available.
