Carlson Kurtis

August 18, 1937 -
August 18, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Kurtis Carlson announces his sudden passing, on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at the age of 72 years.

Kurtis lived in the Columbia Valley his entire life and during that time built numerous homes, schools, and businesses. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go camping at the local lakes and rivers. He had an incisive sense of humour and a “kick ass” approach to life. Kurt was one of a kind, and his love for his family and especially his five grandchildren, will be missed forever.

Kurtis will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna; daughters Carla (Doug) and Janel (Graeme); grandchildren Ryleigh, Zoe, Sydney, Cameron, Jordan; sister Sonja (Bill) Hemmelgarn. Kurtis was predeceased by his brother Ted as well as his parents Bror and Thelma Carlson.

A Celebration of Kurt’s Life was held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion.
