It is with profound sadness we have to announce the peaceful passing of Betty early in the morning of May 13, 2020. Betty passed away at Ivy House in the loving presence of Geraldine and Melva, thank you Geraldine and Melva for your heartfelt care.
Betty was a true pioneer of the Columbia Valley being born in Edgewater in 1929 and living her entire life in the Valley. She was predeceased by her amazing husband David, her parents Maury and Catherine and daughter Linda. Betty is survived by her sister Patricia, daughter Darlene (Cliff) and son Don (Joyce) and numerous grandchildren and great grand children.
Betty enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking (mmm!), helping Dave with his awesome wood crafts, sewing and crocheting. Most of all she enjoyed a rye and seven with Dave recounting their day.
You may visit Betty and Dave at the Columbarium at the Edgewater Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 situation there will a Celebration of Life at a later date.
We would like to express our profound appreciation to the staff of Columbia Gardens and Ivy House for their friendship, care and love for Betty. This made her final years much better. We are very grateful for the support of the community during this tough time. Together again.
