Ellen Barbour Hall

Ellen Barbour Hall passed away peacefully the morning of February 16, 2020 in Hilltop House in Squamish, B.C. at 86 years of age. She was born on June 30, 1933 to Bert and Mabel Barbour in Invermere, B.C.
Ellen attended high school in Invermere, B.C. and after graduation worked in the office for S. Ronacher & Son Ltd. Lumber Manufacturing Company.
She married Clarence Hall on October 8, 1955 and had five children, Mona (Mike), Ken (Carrie), Kelly (Kari), Kurt (Carmen) and Monica (Brad).
Ellen is survived by four of her five children; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Barbour; as well as two former sons-in-law, Neil and Wayne; and a former daughter-in-law Janice.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Mabel Barbour; one brother, Harold Barbour; three sisters, Dorothy Quinn, Anne Stevenson, and Edna Godlien; her son, Kelly Hall; and her former husband, Clarence Hall.
Ellen was an avid gardener, talented baker, skilled quilter and seamstress who specialized in “Nana Pajamas”, enthusiastic hiker and golfer, dedicated community volunteer, and keen traveller, especially overseas. She was a much beloved Mom, Mom-in-Law, Nana, and Grand-Nana.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kurt and Carmen Hall’s home in Coquitlam, B.C.
