Harold Milton Brooks

August 2, 1945 -
June 9, 2018

It is with sadness in our hearts on June 9, 2018, Harold Milton Brooks went to the lord. At the age of 72, Harold passed away at his home in Fairmont Hot Springs BC, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 2, 1945 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the eldest of four children of the late Shirley and Jack Brooks, predeceased by his nephew David Chubak and grandson Mathew Ridge.

Harold was an icon in the construction world, hard working, creative, detailed, and passionate. His number one passion was family, he was committed through thick and thin despite the challenges. A man you could count on, a man of his word, a man of honour, instilling his values in his family.

Harold is survived by his wife Jean Brooks, their joined family of 7 children; Trezlie, David (Genvieve), Carmel (Anton), Teresa (Mike), Tammie (Daryl), Hi (Gail), and Fiona, their 19 grandchildren; Ryan and Zane, Christopher and Michael, Curtis and Derek, Justin, Becca, Sam, and Joe, Blake, Mitchell and Alix, Jack and Kate, Brylee, Aiden, Kiah and Jorja, and 7 great-grandchildren; Kaidyn, Dravyn, Saxyn, Matyx, Bodene, Radek, and Sammy, his brother Tom (Colleen), sisters Jackie, and Emmarie (Joe).

Forever loved and missed.

A private family graveside service was held on Monday, June 18, 2018. Lovingly presented by Ministers Emmarie Chubak and Gordon Lawrence.

A celebration of life will be held next year, date to be announced and publicized for all family and friends to attend.

A special thank you to the many friends, family, and neighbours for your kindness and support to the family, from food to kind words and many many hugs, you made such a difference in a difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Mannheimmer, Julia Dunlop, lnvermere Medical and staff, Alicia Shanks – Pharmasave and staff, and Vivian Bond homecare, for your professional support and compassion. Harold and his family were all blessed to be shown what community is truly all about and what this valley is made of.
