It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mom, mother-in-law and grandmother peacefully at the Invermere District Hospital surrounded by her children.

Joan was born in Saint John, NB to Thomas and Mildred Landry. She was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. Her kids and grandkids meant the world to her and she and Sandy followed them out west in 1998 where they made their new home.

She was always happiest spending time with her family or going “home” to New Brunswick where she made sure to find time to visit with her uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mildred Landry, brother Eddie Landry, sister Mary Norris and the love of her life Sandy (Joseph Alexander) MacPherson.

Joan leaves behind her son Kevin Morneau, son/daughter-in-law Gordie and Shawna Morneau, daughter/son-in-law Valerie and Drew Sinclair, grandchildren Randy, Elizabeth, Victoria, Tiffany, Justin, Mariah, Alex, Aidan, Briley, Skyler and Kaiden, great grandchildren Kayleigh, Addison, Gabriella and Rachel, niece Tammy, extended family Ervin & Judy Morneau and Doug and Jeremy Sinclair as well as countless others who called her mom, Nanny Joan or Sis.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Johnson, Dr. Brown, Anna Rad, Shelley Raven and McPherson Funeral Services for their care and compassion.

A private celebration of Joan’s remarkable life will be held at a later date.
