It’s with great sadness that the family of Donald Ward Smith of Dry Gulch, B.C. wish to announce his passing at the age of 91.
Don was born in Armstrong, B.C., into a family of 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls. He met his wife Patricia Anne Cox from Vernon, B.C., They married in Golden, B.C. in 1960 and moved to the Columbia Valley soon afterwards.
Don worked in several different industries but worked mostly in the sawmill industry. Don and Pat lived all down the valley but settled in Edgewater, B.C., where they raised their family of six children. They were a caring, loving couple who would do anything for their family and friends.
Don is survived by his children Sue, Ken, Jean, Ron and Bruce. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Anne (Cox) Smith and son, Donald Richard Smith.
There will be no funeral services but a celebration of life tea will be held at the Edgewater Legion, Saturday, April 20th from 1 to 3 pm.
