Jason Jacob Knelson
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, and father, Jason Jacob Knelson, August 15, 2018.
Jason was born March 8, 1983 in Prince George, B.C. He was predeceased by his father George, brothers Dustin and Darryl. Jason spent his first years growing up in Fort St. James. He attended Sowchea Elementary. He loved playing Hockey and Quad riding. In 1997 the family moved to Radium Hot Springs where he attended David Thompson Secondary. These were formative years for him where he made life long friends. Jason started working in the bush doing high lead logging and never wanted to leave. He later moved to Kelowna working at the Russo Sawmill, then running processor in the Bush. Most recently he worked for Balceans Consolidated Ltd where he was a hard working employee up until his death.
Jason was a loyal, hardworking, loving, and quiet man that would give you the shirt off his back. He was a devoted father. He leaves behind his children Tavis and Kyleigh, the mother of his children Alanna Wertz, his mother Norma Arnold, his brother David and sister Stacey Swarchuck (Tarrell, Luke and Emerson). Also, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as extended family and friends.
Service to be held August 24th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Providence Funeral Home in Summerland.
