Joseph Charles Hemmelgarn
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe on April 30th, 2020 in Columbia House.
Joe was born with his twin brother John to Martin and Rose Hemmelgarn on February 1st, 1932 at a place called Meadstad Saskatchewan. Moved from Limplaw Saskatchewan to B.C. in 1955.
He worked for many different logging companies for about three years when he first came to B.C. Then he went to work at Fairmont Hot Spring Resort in Maintenance (Water and Sewer) for 44 years and retired in 2007.
Predeceased by his parents and his wife Ann. His brothers John, Lloyd and Len. His sisters Bernice (David), Laverna (John), Annie (Ron). Two brother-in-laws Gordon and Jim.
Left to morn are soul mate Frances; daughter Lynett (Bill); son Micheal (Max), (Greg), grandsons Chris (Ataya), Tucker (Emily), Jax, Lori and John. Brothers and sisters Tony (Sharon), Melvin (Jean), Bill (Sonja), Wilfred (Fae), Irene, Mariann and Margaret. Sister-in-laws Brit and Mary. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A big thank you to the staff at the Invermere Hospital, Columbia House, Ivy House, Home Care, Hospice, Bill, Doug and Dr. Page. You all took such great care of Joe, very much appreciated.
