Kathleen Jeanette “Kay” Lymburner (nee Kotow)

July 29, 1932 -
June 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Kay Lymburner announce her passing. Kay was an amazing wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. She loved her family and delighted in sharing their adventures.

Those who knew Kay appreciated her culinary skills. She baked the best cookies! Kay loved the game of golf and all who shared her passion. With nine hole-in-ones to her credit, she walked and carried her clubs well into her seventies.

Kay is survived by her loving husband, Allen Lymburner. They would have celebrated their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary July 19, 2018.

Also surviving are her children Joan (Neil) Holder of Hinton, Dave (June) Lymburner of Invermere, and Cathy Lymburner of Edmonton, her sister Joyce (Harry) Kuharchuk of Red Deer and brother Frank Kotow of Edmonton, plus many nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her daughter, Roberta Ann Lymburner.

Kay was very fortunate to reside in a community full of love and support. Special thanks go to the nurses, caregivers, and staff at the Columbia Garden Village, Invermere District Hospital, and Ivy House. She was especially grateful for the treatment received from her long-term physician, Dr. Gooch. Thanks also to Dr. Mannheimer, Dr. Schaffer and Dr. Cromp.

As per Kay’s request, there will be no funeral service. Tributes to Kay can be made to the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia or the Columbia Valley Food Bank.
