Timothy Raymond Bayliss

July 8, 1961 -
September 10, 2019

Timothy bravely fought the cancer that quickly engulfed him.
Life had many challenges along the way, but Tim had an indomitable spirit. He was an extremely hardworking roofer in the valley. He not only contracted for builders who wanted their jobs done right the first time, he also had a soft spot for homeowners recommended to him by word of mouth. He was determined to always do his best despite the weather and other obstacles he came across along the way. He spent the last few years waiting for that second chance to make things a bit easier, he booked the summer and had everything in place to have a profitable season. He strived to pay off his debts, feel a sense of dignity; but as luck would have it, he didn’t get the chance.
Through work, he made a handful of both male and female friendships that he valued very much. If you needed to be pulled out of a snowbank or you were a damsel in distress, Tim took it upon himself to do anything he could to help.
He will be missed.
Timothy leaves behind his sisters Cindra McEwan and Lyla Bayliss and their families, his daughter Christine Bayliss Patterson, his son Zayne Raymond Bayliss, his stepson Rye Dustin Brooks, Zayne’s mother Trezlie Brooks and his grandsons Decklan and Koen. Tim’s life purpose was making sure his children had the best opportunities. He went without so they would not want for anything important. For years every other Friday after a long day at work, he’d drive from Calgary to Peers and back so Christine could visit, only to make the journey again on Sunday. Zayne fondly remembers Tim coming to his rescue and boosting his vehicle helping for many hours in a blizzard and the summers attending swim meets across the Kootenay’s. But the most valuable thing that Tim ever did was gradually changing past traditions. Tim made sure he gave his kids bug hugs and told his children that he loved them. There will be much pain in our hearts from his passing…
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services.
