A pole in BC Hydro’s transmission line that serves the communities of Invermere, Golden, Parsons, and Radium Hot Springs has been significantly damaged by the St. Mary’s River wildfire and needs to be replaced.
A two-hour power outage has been scheduled for Monday, July 24 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (MST) to allow crews to safely make the necessary repairs. BC Hydro says it will notify customers in these communities that will be impacted by the outage via email or through an automated phone message.
