Dear Editor:
This past weekend I got a phone call about a live trap sitting out in the sun on a property. The caller reported that there was something live in it, and that it had been in the trap for more than a week.
I went and looked and found a little skunk. I took it to where there was water and let it go. The poor thing drank and drank.
I dont know how anyone could leave a live trap in their yard with no one checking it. Its very inhumane and very cruel so please, if youre using a live trap, check it or have someone else check it at all times. This skunk could have been someones pet cat or small dog.
