Translated from Cree to mean “to dance” and “to be in movement,” Nimihitowin! promised to “mesmerize audiences with dramatic dancing, spectacular regalia and the subtle beauty of Indigenous flute songs.”
The show at the Columbia Valley Centre on Friday, November 1st, delivered all that and more, collecting two standing ovations from the sold-out crowd.
Students with First Nations heritage from Edgewater Elementary School and J.A. Laird Elementary School had the audience erupting with cheers when they performed at the start of the show.
