A ‘wildstorm’ in the Columbia Valley kept first responders very busy with multiple calls and incidents overnight.
Facebook photos show flooded boats, and there are reports of power poles down and property damage due to fallen trees. One individual even reported that her car was hit by lightning.
“These responders are working hard in very challenging conditions. At this time patience is encouraged and appreciated by all,” said a post by the Columbia Valley Rural Fire and Rescue Service.
There are widespread power outages up and down the valley and BC Hydro crews are on site assessing and repairing the damage.
