In this image, dated 1911 or 1912, the water tower, school and St. Andrews Church are visible in the middle section of the south Wilmer townsite. Water from the water tower was run through underground wooden pipes to all the houses in town. In the foreground is the Barbour home and the photo was taken by Dorothy Barbour.
