A 63-year-old Radium woman has died following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 93/95, three minutes north of Invermere, on December 12th. The 27-year-old female driver of a second vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her three-year-old passenger was unharmed.

The accident took place at 9:06 a.m., when a southbound tan Dodge Dakota pickup, driven by the deceased woman, lost control, crossed the centre line and was struck by a northbound black Chevrolet Silverado, the RCMP stated. The roads were slick with black ice at the time.
