I was in Invermere on May 15 and had the pleasure of presenting a Quilt of Valour to retired Lt. Col. Lee Villiger at the Invermere cenotaph.

It was an absolute honour and privilege to present Lt. Col. Villiger with his Quilt of Valour.

This quilt of gratitude was presented for the 32-plus years Lee spent in service to country and mankind. His time in service included a lot of teaching and training troops in Canada and the USA, as well as tours of duty in Afghanistan, Israel, and Germany.

Lee served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves while also working in education and administration for 29 years and retiring as a school principal.
