Dear Editor:

After seeing a far more logical and affordable water plan that keeps the water in the hands of the community I was very surprised with the reaction of RDEK staff.

Why are they giving such negative comments to this plan for Windermere? Why are they not on board to keep public water public? A plan that reuses buildings tax payers have already paid for, and pipes and pumps that tax payers have already bought and installed?

Of course locals support a plan that keeps water supply in public hands and is delivered at an affordable cost. Why do the RDEK not support it?

None of us are comfortable with a private, for-profit water company controlling our water supply. What is most striking is the RDEKs absolute refusal to listen to and work with the community.

As for their concern about not receiving an invitation to the public meeting, no one got one!
